Do you accept submissions from unagented authors?

Yes. While we are willing to work with an author who is agented, Artemesia Publishing exists to give authors with amazing stories who may not have gotten an agent an opportunity to publish your book. Please follow our submission guidelines to submit a manuscript to us for consideration.
What sort of books are you looking for?

We don't have any specific genres that we do or do not publish (except for erotica, which we do not publish). However, over the years the genres that we publish have solidified around the following: - Historical Fiction - Mystery - Thriller/Adventure - Fantasy - Science Fiction - Horror - Magical Realism - books about baseball - books about dinosaurs We will consider other genres of books but the above are our preferences. We encourage you to look at the titles we have previously published and to read our books to get an idea of the types of books we are interested in publishing.
Do you publish children's books?

We do not publish illustrated children's books. Kinkajou Press is focused on middle grade and YA fiction titles.
Are you currently open for submissions?

We've had so many great books come our way this year that we've had to take a pause. We are currently closed for submissions at the moment. We hope we can reopen for submissions in early 2025.
Where is Artemesia Publishing located?

Artemesia Publishing is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We do not have a public location that is open to the public. If you'd like to meet with us please contact us first.
Does Artemesia Publishing have any imprints?

While most of our adult fiction and non-fiction titles are published under our main banner, we do have two imprints. Kinkajou Press is our imprint for early reader, middle grade, and YA fiction. Shadow Dragon Press is our imprint for horror, fantasy, science fiction, and speculative fiction titles.
Where can we find books published by Artemesia Publishing?

Physical copies of our books are available from all major online retailers including Amazon, Bookshop, Barnes & Noble, and others. You can also order our books from your local brick & mortar bookstore. Nearly all of our books are also available as an ebook and some of our titles are also available as audiobooks. You can follow the links on each product to purchase ebooks. All ebooks are available on major sites like Amazon, Apple, Kobo, and B&N.
